So sorry to hear this. Oh Barbara you are a real worry and I hope things are picking up a little for you. Amanda please will you pass on my very best wishes to Barbara? Would you also, if you get a minute, mind emailing me her address. She asked me to get in touch a couple of weeks ago but being me, bogged down in umpteem things at the time, didn't get round to it. I can't remember whether it was you or Jean she suggest I contact for the details!!! (Head elsewhere, I need grounding!) Thank you, Lyn x

Hi Amanda, Thanks for keeping us all informed, send my love to Barbara and hoping she gets to the bottom of this sickness soon. At least she is in the best place and with the re-occurrence of it they will surely get to the bottom of it now. Lots of love Lorna xx

Sorry I haven't been updating- it is because I cannot actually get through to Barbara presently.
We don't have an answer phone so she may have called back whilst we were out yesterday. Will let you know later as i will ring again (have tried both numbers a few times) when Ben is at cadets and the littles are in bed!

Hello my lovelies, thank you so much for your kind well wishes and support. Over the past three months I have been in-and-out of hospital with severe gastric problems. After a lot if investigations I have been diagnosed with inflammation of the small intestine and e coli/ kidney infections. Well, I've now managed to stay out of hospital for a week and the new tablets seem to be working, in that, I have stopped upchucking and have started to keep my food down. As for the RA, it has been in the main been quiet, but as I am not on any drugs for it, I am totally stiff in the morning for at least a couple of hours and find that I am able to cope with the mild pain and swellings in my wrists and hands. The outcome of my recent visit to the rheumy and advice given was to stay off the drugs as my immune system is too weak, and because of the number of recent infections. As for my back, well that is another matter. Due to the amount of discomfort caused by the retching it is in a bad way and I can hardly walk and suffer with a lot of pain. In the grand scheme of things, I am not doing too well, but try to keep positive and live in hope that I will get better soon and can look forward to enjoying an improvement in the quality of my life. Spoke to Amanda this morning, she told me that some nasty person has cut the wires/cables to her internet connection outside of her house and will not be able to access the internet until it has been fixed, she hopes to be back online by the end of the week. much love to you all, Barbara XXXXXX

Barbara, Just delighted to hear about a whole week of not being sick, such a small but important triumph. If you are in contact with Amanda, please do send all our love. Pretty wise holding off the drugs IMO at the moment. Can anything be done for the back- does Tens help at all in the meantime? Jenni xx how to be a velvet bulldoser
